We use this time to schedule drivers, track flights, and ensure on-time pickup. Remember, Peru does not observe Daylight Savings.

International Flights, you will meet the driver at Exit 3 in the main arrivals hall.

Your booking includes 1 hour of free waiting time to allow for immigration and luggage collection. This time is calculated from your flight’s actual arrival time, not the arrival time you enter in the booking form. Changing your estimated arrival time will not change your included waiting time.

Stage one in your booking process asks for a “Trip Type”.

Selecting:

One Way Transfer is a single journey from pickup to destination.

Round Trip (Same Day) is a return journey completed on the same day.
Example: Airport → Hotel → Airport.

Round Trip (Different Day) is a return journey scheduled for a later date.
Example: Airport → Hotel today, Hotel → Airport at the end of your stay.

Pricing is based on vehicle capacity, meaning each vehicle is sold based on a whole vehicle and not per seat. Please ensure the number of passengers matches your booking.

Each vehicle listed will show the max number of suitcase space, ranging from 3-8 suitcases.

Unpaid reservations: Unpaid bookings are tentative and are not guaranteed. You may cancel without a cancellation fee.

More than 24 hours before pickup: Receive a full refund, less any eligible, non-refundable payment-processing fees disclosed before payment.

12–24 hours before pickup: Receive a 50% refund.

Less than 12 hours before pickup: Refunds are generally not available.

Cancellation periods are calculated from the scheduled pickup time in your booking confirmation.

If Gringo Taxis cannot provide your confirmed service and cannot arrange a suitable replacement acceptable to you, you may choose a full refund or rescheduling where available.

To cancel or request a change, contact us by email or WhatsApp and include your reservation reference number. Changes are subject to availability and confirmation.

Yes. absolutely. Contact us before your scheduled pickup time and we will do our best to accommodate changes.

Yes but for everyones safety, all pets must be crated, and the corresponding service must be purchased. An additional charge of $15 will apply if the pet uses the vehicle as a bathroom.

In alignment with local industry standards and practices in Peru, a 40% holiday surcharge applies on recognized holidays. Holiday surcharges of 50% or more are commonly used by transportation services in Peru to help ensure drivers are fairly compensated for working during these peak periods.

We understand that paying a higher rate during a holiday or for a late-night pickup isn’t ideal. We’ve made every effort to keep these additional rates fair and transparent while maintaining reliable service when you need it.

Holidays include, but are not limited to:

• Christmas Eve (after 6 PM) and Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve (after 6 PM) and New Year’s Day
• Holy Week (Easter weekend)
• Peruvian Independence Days (July 28–29)

Late-night pickups may also have a higher rate because fewer drivers are available during these hours. The additional rate helps us compensate drivers appropriately and maintain reliable service.

We use a fixed-rate booking system, so any applicable holiday or late-night surcharge is automatically added to the base fare. Your final rate will always be shown before payment.

Comparing an airport taxi with a regular taxi is really an apples-to-oranges comparison.

On the surface, they may look like the same thing: a car and a driver taking you somewhere. But there’s a lot more to it than that.

In Peru, finding someone with a car willing to take you somewhere is easy. Finding a service where the vehicle and driver are properly authorized to carry paying passengers, and where someone is accountable for your booking, is a different matter.

With an ordinary street taxi, you’re dealing directly with an individual driver who is usually looking for the next fare. With a pre-arranged airport transfer, the pickup is booked in advance, the price is agreed upon, and there is a business responsible for making sure the arrangements are carried out.

There’s also a practical difference. Airport transfers are planned around your journey, so there is no standing on the street with your luggage waitng for some random driver to stop. The driver isn’t relying on finding another passenger after dropping you off, and the time spent waiting or navigating Lima traffic is part of the job, not a reason to rush you.

Anyone who has tried to get a regular taxi in Lima to take them to the airport or Callao may know the frustration. Some drivers simply say “No voy” and drive off when they hear the destination. With a pre-arranged transfer, your driver has already accepted the journey. You’re not left standing on the street hoping someone will agree to take you.

At the end of the day, it comes down to accountability, proper authorization and knowing that someone is responsible for getting you where you need to go.
