Terms And Conditions
The terms and conditions offered here constitute the agreement between you and Transporte Fácil E.I.R.L (AKA Gringo Taxis) Booking a taxi and using the service indicates that you have unconditionally accepted the terms and conditions as they are listed in the agreement.
Gringo Taxi and “we” or “us” refers to the company providing the Reservation Service. The terms “you” and “your” can refer to any person, business or company making a booking with us.
2.English Speaking Driver:
2.1 Every effort will be made to provide clients with an English speaking driver. However due to the high demand of our service we cannot guarantee the driver will speak more than basic English or if at all.
2.2 Spanish speaking driver’s will be used in the event of an unavoidable circumstance such as a vehicle/driver out of service, vehicle breakdown or a significant change to a flight arrival time. Due to licensing regulations larger vehicles such as vans,, mini buses and full size buses will have Spanish speaking drivers.
3.1 You are required to allocate enough time for the journey to allow you to arrive on time. This includes all airport transfers where you are required to check-in at a certain time for your flight. Gringo Taxi will not be responsible for any delay caused by your inability to allocate enough time to reach your destination on time, or if you do are not ready to be collected at the allocated time.
3.2 It is your responsibility to order a vehicle of suitable size for all of the travelers and luggage. Gringo Taxi makes no guarantee to carry an excessive amount of luggage. Please be aware that a child, no matter the age of the child, will be regarded as a single passenger.
3.3 Anyone requiring wheelchair access should request this at the point of booking. Currently Peru does not have any requirement to provide lift assistance to persons with wheelchairs. We will make every effort to help, but do not carry ramps of other equipment to assist.
4. Prices & Payment
4.1 Gringo Taxi provides a quotation based on information which has been provided by you. All prices, unless otherwise stated. If there are any material changes to the stated itinerary, we reserve the right to alter the provided quote.
4.2 Our quote contains a 90 minute waiting period after the stated landing time, and the cost of parking at the airport. Any waiting period in excess of this time will be charged at the standard Gringo Taxi rate of $10 per hour or fraction for Sedans, $18 per hour or fraction for an SUV and $20 per hour for Vans. Gringo Taxi Providers will do their best to review flight details and amend their service accordingly if there have been delays, but they are not obliged to do so.
4.3 Upon accepting a quote from us, you will receive confirmation of the booking. Please take the time to review this confirmation and ensure that it is 100% correct. If you don’t notify Gringo Taxi, we shall not be responsible for any delays or costs which arise due to this mistake.
4.4 Gringo Taxi offers payment options as follows:
– Full payment can be made with a credit or debit card at the time of scheduling on our website at www.gringotaxis.com
– Full payment via link sent to your or your driver’s email, WhatsApp/Messenger or via SMS. This link is secure and you may use credit card or debt card. If you’ve chosen an email link please check your Email including your spam box for the email
4.5 If for any other reason you fail to be at the pickup point within a reasonable time after the scheduled collection time specified in your reservation, the Provider will try to contact you on the mobile telephone number you have provided. Your driver will wait 90 minutes after arrival pick up time and 20 min at an address pick up.
If it is not possible to reach you because you have not provided an operational mobile telephone number at the time of booking, you have no, or poor connection, no signal, activated voicemail, the call is unanswered and there are no emails or messages received/answered by you, the service will not be provided. At this point your Driver is relieved of their obligations and a refund will not be due
5. The Service
5.1 You are responsible for the behavior of all of the passengers who are on board for the journey. If the vehicle is soiled, damaged or negatively impacted on by the passenger, a charge may be applied to cover cleaning costs.
We are not allowed to carry more passengers than is stated by licensing or insurance. Due to Covid-19 Peru has issued a restricted capacity order. All Taxis and vans are reduced to 50% capacity by legal order.
6. For arrival transfers, our Providers will wait for you upon arrival up to a maximum of 90 minutes after your actual landing time. All drivers use flight tracking software as well as regularly checking the Lima Airport arrivals website for actual arrival times.
6.1 Departure, our drivers will wait as close as legally possible to the pick-up point. The driver will wait a maximum of 20 minutes after the published pick-up time. If you have not made contact or been picked up the driver will leave, and there will be no refund. You will have to reschedule.
In either case if you request the Provider to wait beyond those times, please note that a waiting fee may be charged directly by the Provider. If you do not want to pay the waiting fee, the driver holds the right to leave.
6.2 Unused transfers are not refundable and alternative transport costs will not be reimbursed.
7.1 If you have to cancel with your booking with Gringo Taxis you must contact us as soon as possible. If you do not cancel a vehicle until after it has been dispatched, a charge will be incurred. Charges are as follows;
If the client refuses service at pickup time there will be no refund.
If the client is a “no show” after 90 minutes of waiting at the airport or cruise port without notice there will be no refund.
If client cancels within 12 hours of the scheduled pickup a 30% fee applies, meaning 70% of your payment will be returned.
If client cancels with “at least” a 24 notice a 20% fee applies meaning you will receive a 80% refund of the payment.
In rare instances Gringo Taxis may need to cancel your ride, in those instances you will receive a 100% refund (which will be paid within 30 days), however, Gringo Taxi shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.
7.2 If you have booked through our online booking system at www.gringotaxis.com and you cancel before the vehicle has been dispatched, an administrative charge may be levied on the original payment.
8.1 While Gringo Taxis will do all we can to ensure you arrive on time to your destination, we are not liable for any losses incurred due to delays beyond our control. There are no circumstances where Gringo Taxis will be liable for any losses incurred by you or your business. It is your responsibility to provide enough time to get to your destination, failure to do so relieves Gringo Taxis from any liabilities.
8.2 Your luggage is carried at your own risk.
8.3 If the vehicle breaks down during your journey with a Gringo Taxis Provider, we will do what we can to provide an alternative car to allow you to complete your journey as quickly as possible.
8.4 You will not indemnify Gringo Taxi for any expenses, damages, costs or losses that arise from any omission or act from anyone in your party.
8.5 No party involved is able to exclude or limit their liability for personal injury or death which has been caused by negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation or willful default, or for any other matter which is classed as unenforceable by all/any applicable laws.
9.1 Gringo Taxis and their Providers reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking, with immediate effect, if any vehicle or driver is placed at risk, whether through abuse, violence or damage, from you or any other passenger. There will be no refunds provided for any journey which has been terminated during the hire.
10.1 Gringo Taxis may subcontract their obligation as stated in this agreement. You will not assign, delegate or transfer any of the obligations or rights you hold, under this agreement.
10.2 Gringo Taxis may alter the terms and conditions at any time and can do so by making these changes to this page. Please be sure to review these terms and conditions on a regular basis to ensure that you are aware of the applicable changes. Any existing bookings will be undertaken at applicable rates which were in effect at the point of making a booking.
10.3 This agreement represents the full agreement between Gringo Taxis and yourself.
10.4 There is nothing contained in these terms and conditions which are intended to confer any advantage or benefit to a third party. No third party maintains the right to enforce rights under this agreement unless agreement has been put in place in writing.
